Brief outline of the project

The Pinelopi Project intends to stimulate the Greek educational software market, to develop programmes for the pedagogical evaluation of educational software and to secure the broad scale development of educational software and support material that will take full advantage of computer and network technologies for the entire curriculum of the Greek secondary education programme.

This will ensure:

  • The provision of a wealth of quality learning material for general education purposes in the country’s school system, which will form the foundation for each school’s computer library.
  • The creation of conditions within which the manufacturers in the Greek market who produce educational software can acquire the know-how required for the successful continuation of the development and support of quality educational software after the Project has been completed.
