principles of environmental education, our mission is to spread
information and ideas that will help educators explore the
environment and investigate current issues with students.
ENDANGERED
SPECIES HOME PAGE: Welcome to the St. Thomas
School Endangered Species Home Page! This page is the result of a
research project in our grade 5/6 class at St. Thomas Catholic
School in Ottawa, Ontario. Each of the 27 students in our class
has researched an endangered species, and we have designed a
series of web pages to present our information.

WWF's ultimate goal is to stop, and eventually
reverse, the accelerating degradation of our planet's natural
environment, and to help build a future in which humans live in
harmony with nature.
Greenpeace
International: An independent, campaigning
organization which uses non-violent, creative confrontation to
expose global environmental problems, and to force the solutions
which are essential to a green and peaceful future.
Plant-It
2000: Plant-It 2000 is a non-profit
organization dedicated to properly planting, maintaining and
protecting as many indigenous trees as possible worldwide.
Rainforest
Action Network: Rainforest Action Network
works to protect tropical rainforests and the human rights of
those living in and around those forests.
