Brief outline of the Project

A key point in the design of this Project is its implementation in schools participating in the “Restructuring our Schools” programme (SEPPE), and taking advantage of this programme - which is itself an innovation in the Greek education system - to fulfill the aims and aspirations of the Odysseia Programme.

The “Computers in Every Classroom” Project is designed to demonstrate practices and scenarios taking full advantage of the functional incorporation of contemporary computer and network technologies in ordinary classroom teaching. In schools implementing the SEPPE programme, each subject is taught in its own specific and specially-designed room. The “Computers in Every Classroom” Project is implemented in schools where the SEPPE programme has already been initiated, which are not necessarily Odysseia schools. Powerful computers were installed in each selected class, equipped with a wide range of peripherals (printer, scanner, modem, digital video camera) in order to provide teachers and students with the maximum potential for taking full advantage of the new technologies
