Brief outline of the project
This Project was designed to provide an experimental framework of
computer infrastructure and services in a number of secondary schools.
More specifically, this project:
- Determines and initiates the necessary actions/activities for the experimental
installation of high-speed network infrastructures in a small number of secondary schools
(preferably in remote areas).
- On the basis of this network infrastructure, as part of the educational process,
designs and tests:
- Communication with students and teachers in remote areas (tele-conferencing).
- Collaboration among children in remote schools in the realization of school projects
(distance collaboration services).
- Distance teaching.
The impact of these systems and services was evaluated, and reports
made to the appropriate agencies in Greece and abroad.
